BillerReinhart Structural Group, Inc. worked with the City of Tampa Department of Public Works personnel (architect and facilities personnel) for renovations and modifications to the existing structure and the design of new additions at the Hyde Park Craft Center. One addition is approximately 600 SF and will expand the pottery studio. The other addition for the Reception/Gallery area with a connection to the Metalwork Studio (currently a separate building) is approximately 400 SF.
BillerReinhart initially performed a site visit to visually evaluate the existing conditions of the discernible structural elements.
BillerReinhart performed calculations and prepared construction documents for the structural elements of the additions.
BillerReinhart also performed visual evaluation of the existing facility’s damaged roof framing system and designed temporary shoring. Opinions of cost were prepared to estimate the construction budget.
