Spanning over 40 plus years Sax’s Florida experience has included geotechnical investigation/analysis for over 220 sites throughout Florida (from Pensacola to Key West), geotechnical consultation on public works/transportation/mid-rise buildings, deep foundations, ground modification/improvement methods, power plants, airports, sinkhole detection, investigation, remediation, building and site damage claims, vibration damage investigation/consultation, slip/fall, expert witness and testimony at deposition/trials, value engineering and consultation.
Sax is, or has been, a registered Professional Engineer in seven states. Sax’s geotechnical engineering career has been extensive during which he has handled over 900 sinkhole-related projects. His projects are varied and assignments have ranged from a tidal power hydroelectric project study at the Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia, to Churchill River Diversion Works in northern Manitoba in Canada, to Coca Cola complex in Portland, Oregon, to offshore drilling platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, to Turkey Point nuclear power plant in south Florida, to Landfill sites in Desoto and Polk County, to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and to LNG/LPG project at Soya Port, north of Luanda, Angola on the west coast of Africa.
