Biller Reinhart Engineering Group, Inc. prepared design drawings and specifications for the renovation and restoration of this 13-story hotel structure. The structure is constructed of pile-supported foundations, concrete floor slab on grade, and precast concrete columns, beams, wall panels, floor planks, and roof planks. The exterior wall structure located in between precast concrete elements is constructed of cold-formed metal framing. Project tasks include the following: structural assessment, structural modifications to floor slabs, roof slab, and walls, design of cooling tower, mechanical equipment, and pipe supports, design for pool deck modifications, structural concrete restoration, structural steel stair restoration, design of roof mounted equipment anchorage, design of guardrail anchorage, design of lateral supports for window and door systems, and dock and seawall restoration/design.

BillerReinhart also performed construction administration services including the following: conducting site visits to observe construction progress, reviewing structural project submittals, consulting with the owner and contractor to accommodate project construction, and reporting to the public entity having jurisdiction over the project.
