Founded in 2001, Biller Reinhart Engineering Group has grown to include a team of engineers and technical support with over 160 years of combined experience in the field of structural engineering design, consultation, assessments and inspection on a multitude of projects for both public and private clients. Based in Florida with offices in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Ft. Lauderdale, and Sarasota, the firm provides services to many diverse clients locally and nationally and specializes in several key areas of structural engineering including the design of new structures, restoration and renovation of existing structures, roof consulting, building envelope evaluations, engineering analysis, building studies, forensic evaluations, expert witness consulting and threshold inspections.

Biller Reinhart is licensed to provide professional structural engineering and consulting in a number of states and territories additional to Florida, including Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin. We have the ability to apply for other state licenses though reciprocity via NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying) and the flexibility to travel enabling us to meet our clients’ diverse needs.

Description of Duties
- Develop and review engineering calculations for building/component or structure analysis and design
- Develop and review project specifications to promote companywide quality assurance standards
- Coordination with engineering technicians for data collection and drawing preparation.
- Sign and seal documents in your field of expertise
- Provide collaboration and internal peer review to promote companywide quality assurance standards
- Client correspondence, representation and coordination
- Participate in business development activities
- Building/structure condition assessments and forensic investigations
- Construction observation and documentation
- Compose and review observation, field, and summary reports
- Guide and assist project engineers with professional development and engineering competency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
- Must satisfy a background check
Special Requirements
- Professional Engineering license in the state of Florida or the ability to acquire by comity from another state
- Understanding of Forensic Investigation; Concrete Repair and Restoration Design and Cold Formed Metal Framing Design

- Competitive base salary, $60,000 – $75,000, plus annual profitability bonuses

Description of Duties
- Coordination with staff engineers including drafting and drawing preparation
- Building condition assessments and reports
- Forensic investigations including sketching, data collection, and testing
- Construction observation, documentation, field reports and inspection logs
- Preparation of technical specifications
- Construction site safety and comfortability including accessing and using ladders, scaffolding and swing stages
- Communication skills
- Technical writing
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Qualifications
- 2 Years of experience working in a construction-related field
- High School Diploma
- Graduation from a relevant technical college with a focus on CAD and construction related coursework or Associate’s degree of similar kind
- Excellent communication skills necessary
- Must satisfy a background check
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive base salary, $45,000-$55,000, commensurate with experience, with quarterly profitability bonuses
