Professional Engineer

Ft. Lauderdale Office

Description of Duties
  • Engineering calculations for building analysis and design
  • Coordination with engineering technicians for drawing preparation
  • Project specifications preparation
  • Building condition assessments
  • Forensic investigations
  • Construction observation and documentation
  • Compose the following documents: condition survey, observation, field, and summary reports
  • Client correspondence
  • Conduct on-site investigation and assess damages of residential and commercial building, bridges, seawalls and modern structures to determine cause of deterioration or failure
Qualifications

  • Professional engineering license in the state of Florida or the ability to acquire
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Graduation with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering focus from an ABET accredited university
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
  • Must satisfy a background check

Engineering Technician Intern

Lakeland Office

Description of Duties
  • 2pm-5pm Monday-Thursday
  • Coordination with staff engineers for the following permit and construction including drafting and drawing preparation
  • Building condition assessments reports
  • Assisting in forensic investigations
  • Forensic investigations including sketching, data collection and material testing
  • Construction observation and documentation,filed reports and inspection logs
  • Engineering calculations for building analysis and design
  • Preparation of technical specifications
  • Efficient team player with good organizational skills, who is resourceful, service-oriented, dependable, maintains confidences, tactful and detail oriented
  • Support to Principals, Consultants and other staff
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects/tasks and prioritizing with multiple interruptions
  • Enthusiastic, helpful attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Support team members on projects as needed
  • Manage monthly timesheet for team
Qualifications
  • Relevant work experience preferred
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Must satisfy a background check
